Deine Aufgaben

Als Cloud Engineer in unserem dynamischen SRE-Team wirst du eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Sicherstellung der Zuverlässigkeit, Skalierbarkeit und Performance unserer KiwiOS IoT-Plattform und der darauf aufbauenden Produkte spielen. Du arbeitest eng mit unseren Software-Entwicklungsteams zusammen und sorgst dafür, dass die dezentrale Energiewelt rund um die Uhr für alle verfügbar ist.

Deine Aufgaben:

Monitoring und Incident Management: Du stattest unsere Dienste mit den wichtigen Metriken aus, um unser System dauerhaft nach Fehlfunktionen überwachen zu können. Im Falle eines Incidents unterstützt du, in Zusammenarbeit mit den Entwicklungsteams, das Debugging in der Google Cloud, um den Fehler schnellstmöglich zu beheben. Auch die Leitung von Incident-Response-Aktivitäten und die Übernahme der Rufbereitschaft werden Teil deiner Aufgabe sein.
Automatisierung und Skalierbarkeit: Du bringst unsere Cloud-Infrastruktur auf das nächste Level, indem du wiederkehrende Aufgaben identifizierst und automatisierst Außerdem empfiehlst du den Entwicklungsteams Managed Services aus der Google Cloud und bringst deren Einsatz im Unternehmen voran. Auch die stetige Weiterentwicklung unseres Deployment-Prozesses obliegt deiner Tätigkeit und verhilft den Teams damit zu einfacheren und sichereren Deployments in Kiwigrid’s Produktionsumgebung.
Sicherheit und Compliance: Du verhilfst Kiwigrid zu einer sicheren Cloud-Umgebung, in dem du Tooling zur Überwachung von Vulnerabilities und zur Erkennung von äußeren, potentiell gefährlichen Aktivitäten integrierst. Du bist beteiligt an der Erstellung von Compliance-Richtlinien und unterstützt bei Audits.
Dokumentation und Knowledge-Sharing: Du hilfst den Entwicklungsteams dabei, ihre Dokumentation so aufzubereiten, dass der Stack und die Request-Flows nachvollziehbar sind. Zusätzlich bringst du Best Practices aus dem SRE Team in die Entwicklungsteams ein, um dort einen hohen Standardisierungsgrad zu erreichen.

Dein Profil

Berufserfahrung mit Cloud-Infrastrukturen und Umsetzung von IT-Projekten
Begeisterung für neue Technologien und die Bereitschaft zur kontinuierlichen Weiterbildung
gute Kenntnisse zu aktuellen Cloud-Technologien vor allem umfangreiche Erfahrungen mit der Google Cloud
eigenverantwortliches, sehr strukturiertes und gewissenhaftes Arbeiten
analytische und konzeptionelle Fähigkeiten verbunden mit systemübergreifendem und prozessorientiertem Denken

Your tasks

As a Cloud Engineer in our dynamic SRE team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability and performance of our KiwiOS IoT platform and the products built on it. You will work closely with our software development teams and ensure that the decentralised energy world is available to everyone 24/7.

Your tasks:

monitoring and incident management: You provide our services with the important metrics to be able to monitor our system permanently for malfunctions. In the event of an incident, you will support debugging in the Google Cloud in collaboration with the development teams in order to rectify the error as quickly as possible. Managing incident response activities and being on-call will also be part of your role.
automation and scalability: You will take our cloud infrastructure to the next level by identifying and automating recurring tasks. You will also recommend managed services from the Google Cloud to the development teams and promote their use within the company. You will also be responsible for the continuous development of our deployment process, helping the teams to achieve simpler and more secure deployments in Kiwigrid's production environment.
security and compliance: You will help Kiwigrid achieve a secure cloud environment by integrating tooling to monitor vulnerabilities and detect external, potentially dangerous activities. You are involved in the creation of compliance guidelines and support audits.
documentation and knowledge sharing: You help the development teams to prepare their documentation in such a way that the stack and request flows are comprehensible. In addition, you bring best practices from the SRE team to the development teams in order to achieve a high degree of standardisation.

Your Profile

professional experience with cloud infrastructures and the implementation of IT projects
enthusiasm for new technologies and a willingness to undergo continuous further training
good knowledge of current cloud technologies, especially extensive experience with the Google Cloud
